The 2012 Prince Mahidol Award in Medicine and Public Health

The Royal Thai Embassy has the honour to inform that on the occasion of 120th anniversary of the Birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla and the two decades of the Prince Mahidol Foundation, the Embassy has the pleasure to invite the Philippines’ individual(s) or institution(s) with the outstanding performance and/or research in the areas of Medicine and Public Health, which contribute directly to the betterment of society, to be nominated to the prestige award.

The Prince Mahidol Award is an international award which is established by the royal permission in honour of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla. It is the distinguished award of which ceremony is presided over by His Majesty the King Bhumibhol Adulyadej of Thailand.

The Prince Mahidol Award is divided into 2 categories, namely Medicine and Public Health, and will be conferred on annual basis by awarding 100,000 USD plus a medal and a certificate per each prize. The nomination can be submitted online at the foundation’s website, or through the Royal Thai Embassy with written nomination form. Please be informed that the deadline for the applicant submission is on 31 June 2011.
