Royal Thai Embassy 
On 15 July 20, 2010 H.E. Kulkumut Singhara Na Ayudhaya, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines, shared his insights on the political, economic and social development of Thailand during the “Asia in My Pocket: The Thai Way” event organized by Asia Society Philippine Foundation in partnership with the Royal Thai Embassy, Manila and Citibank at Dusit Thani Manila Hotel.
The Thai Ambassador explained Thailand’s political situation, especially the Royal Thai Government’s roadmap for national reconciliation and its economic strength for confidence building in investment and tourism. In addition, the Ambassador also gave in depth information on Thailand – Philippines economic relationship, particularly the potential of two-way trade between the two countries in order to attract more Filipino investors.
Moreover, the Thai community also presented information on Thai culture, tourist attraction and Thai food to the audiences. Also, there were food demonstration such as Pad Thai (Thai styles fried noodles) and fruit and vegetable carving by Thai ambassador’s chefs.
The joint activity between the Royal Thai Embassy, Manila and Asia Society has helped contribute to the presentation of Thailand covering the aspects of politics, economics, social and culture to the Philippine Society. Participants, therefore, received precise and first-hand information on Thailand and experienced the unique atmosphere of Thai, hospitality and Thai way.
