THAI ENVOY JOINS FILIPINOS IN CONGRATULATING THE NEW PRESIDENT

H.E. Mr. Ongart Klampaiboon, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister?s Office, as a representative of the Prime Minister of Thailand, paid a visit to the Philippines during 29 June ? 1 July 2010, to join the Filipinos in congratulating the Inauguration of their new President and Administration.

On 30 June 2010, H.E. Mr. Ongart Klampaiboon and H.E. Mr. Chakorn Suchiva, Charge d?Affairs, a.i., Royal Thai Embassy, Manila, attended the Inaugural Ceremonies of President-elect Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III and Vice President-elect Jejomar C. Binay at the Quirino Grandstand in the morning. Later in the evening, both Thai Envoys joined their diplomatic colleagues at the Inaugural Reception at the Malacanang Palace.

On the following day, H.E. Mr. Ongart Klampaiboon, H.E. Mr. Chakorn Suchiva and party paid a courtesy call on the newly elected President of the Philippines at the music room, Malacanang Palace. The two counterparts reaffirm the continuity of close cooperation and commit to strengthen their bilateral ties.
