Royal Thai Embassy 
Today, 4 May 2010, the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand witness the turn-over of 520 Metric Tons of Thai Rice Donation to 520 metric tons of Thai rice donation, under the Relief Operation of the East Asia Emergency Rice Reserve (EAERR) mechanism of ASEAN spearheaded by Thailand, to the Philippines as further assistance to the victims of Typhoon Ondoy.
This donation under the ASEAN framework is partially extended for the first time under the EAERR mechanism to assist the member of ASEAN countries at the time of calamity. In addition to this donation the Thai Government provided the bilateral contribution of 100,000 kilograms of Thai rice and 50,000 sets of medical kits donated by the Royal Thai Government to the Philippines on 13 November 2009.
The Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand supports the government and people of the Republic of the Philippines in its continuing rehabilitation efforts, as well as preparation and readiness in times of national disaster. Furthermore, the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand in the Philippines are ready to work closely with the Philippine authorities in pursuing these common efforts.
